Production Team

The Production Team is responsible for designing and manufacturing prosthetics.

The Production Team is the most hands-on of all three teams. Team members use engineering drawings to draft prosthetic designs collaboratively. Based on these drafts, cardboard models are made to test the feasibility of designs. Then, CAD software such as Solidworks is used to turn the sketches into detailed virtual models of the prosthetic. Finally, members use the 3D-printers at the UTD Makerspace to print the product.

Current Projects:
– Knick’s finger prosthetic
– Mechanical Hand
– Mechanical Arm
– Electronic Arm
